Cyber security Researcher

Essential Requirements:

1. Basic understanding of how to analyze suspicious files, particularly common formats like PDFs and Microsoft Office documents
2. Working knowledge of Python programming; familiarity with C# is a plus
3. Understanding of Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) basics and exposure to common SIEM solutions
4. Familiarity with the MITRE ATT&CK framework and its role in threat analysis
5. Basic experience with security detection rules (e.g., Sigma or Yara rules) – hands-on projects or coursework is acceptable
6. Understanding of fundamental web technologies and protocols, including how DNS and basic web infrastructure work
7. Comfortable working in Linux environments – including command line operations, basic scripting, and system administration tasks
8. Knowledge of phishing attack techniques and countermeasures, including:
   Common social engineering tactics
   Email security and header analysis
   URL/domain analysis for detecting suspicious links
   Understanding of email authentication protocols (SPF, DKIM, DMARC)
9. Basic reverse engineering skills
